Join us for a fun and relaxing candle making experience at our Hillsboro studio! No experience is necessary, and all materials provided. 

For off site events please email us. Our studio space is perfect for Small Birthday Parties, Bridal Showers, Bachelorette Parties, Baby Showers, Girls night out and even Date Night!!

What’s included:

  • One person can choose to buy Make 1 or 2 Candles (This is NOT for 2 people) 
  • 1 hour guided experience using eco-friendly wax and phthalate-free fragrance
  • Background music of your choice
  • All attendees get an exclusive discount in-store on the day of the workshop

Who should attend:

  • Anyone 13 and older (anyone younger needs to be accompanied by a parent)
  • Looking for a fun and relaxing activity
  • Give a unique and thoughtful gift.

The finished candle will need 20-30 min to harden! Read below options.

Please Note: This is an experience, not a candle-making “class” While we’ll lightly touch on the art behind candle making, we will not provide detailed instructions for you to use at home or recommendations on wax, wicks, jars, or fragrances. About our Candles

Wax

All of our Candles & Wax Melts are Non-toxic made with coconut soy wax. We do not use any additives, or stabilizers. This wax burns cleanly and evenly, with no harmful fumes or soot.

Fragrances

We only use phthalate-free and paraben-free fragrance oils. We do not have 100% essential oils in our candle products at this time. However, some of our fragrances are blended with essential oils from time to time. The oils we use are designed to be burned in candles and safety information for the fragrances is available upon request. 

Burn Time

The Burn time is up to 45- 50 hours, so you can enjoy its delicious scent for days on end.

Candle Care Card

Before you light it up!

ALWAYS trim the wick 1/4" or by removing the black blob on the wick.

Burn, baby burn! The first burn is essential.

Give your candle 1-2 hours of burn time to develop a complete melt pool that goes all the way to the edge of the container. If the candle is not allowed to melt to the edge, especially on the first burn, you will see a tunnel around the wick. This will make it more difficult for the wax around the outer edge of the jar to melt for all future burns, it may decrease your burn time and your fragrance throw for the life of your candle.

For Heaven's- Sake, keep an eye on it!

Burn within sight・Keep away from flammable objects・Keep AWAY from CHILDREN, PETS & the ELDERLYKeep the candle free of debris. Only burn on a fire-resistant surface. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop burning when 1/2" unmelted wax remains. Avoid drafty areas. Remove any loose items from, trimmings, flower petals, crystals, fruit, etc.

Ex-paraffin burner

You will be glad you switched over to coconut soy wax for many reasons, it's better to air quality, they're non-toxic, all - natural, burns cleaner & longer. Plus the ingredients are grown and harvested sustainably.

Sustainability

Our candle jars are reusable after your candle is finished. Safely remove the wick & wax from the bottom of your candle jar and dispose of it. Then, use soap and water to wash out any remaining wax. Use a paper towel to wipe dry. Reuse for years to come!

I made a custom candle!

I was wanting a new candle for fall and I was able to make one that smelled exactly like I wanted. That's cool, but I also got to hang out with friends. I ended up buying two more candles because they smelled too good to pass up.. I will be back to refill cleaning solutions, body care products and car fresheners. This is a wonderful space with a wonderful owner.

Came here to take a candle making class with my granddaughter. We had such a lovely time. Everything smells and looks so good! It’s a fresh clean store and very pleasant!

Incredible Candle-Making Class:
I had the pleasure of attending a candle-making class at this amazing Black-owned shop, and it was an unforgettable experience! The focus on organic, locally sourced soy wax made the experience even more special, as I knew I was creating something eco-friendly and sustainable.

The instructor was fantastic—so patient, passionate, and knowledgeable. They guided us through every step, from selecting beautiful, all-natural fragrances to creating the perfect pour. The space was warm and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that was both inspiring and relaxing.

I left with gorgeous handcrafted candles and a deep appreciation for the craft. Supporting a local, Black-owned business that prioritizes quality and sustainability felt great. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun, creative activity or the perfect gift-making experience. I’ll definitely be back for more classes and products!
